Hey Daisy I saw a ton of people suggesting you female artists and I was wondering if you had ever heard of Joanna Newsom? She's incredibly talented and mainly independent besides her touring band and producers and what not but she writes everything herself and her album YS was voted the best album of this decade and she's also recognized as one of the best writers (musically and lyrically) of our time she's totally worth checking out!
