I just wanted to add to your last ask (the person with one eye) a quote from Game of Thrones that I always think about: "Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you." It doesn't help everyone but it's the reason I call myself a dyke/freak/other words (I wouldn't call someone else them) because then when other people say them to me. It doesn't hurt as much. <3
