Oh finally someone said it! It's so annoying, some Muslim women are badass but stop being so excited about every women wearing hijabs or niqabs without even knowing if it really is their choice. Like the Saudi athletes, yeah, great, I'm sincerely happy for their accomplishments but really, do you think if they had been in a country that left them a choice they would have worn the veil? Probably not! And how many countries sent women with male chaperons to the Olympics? Only the Muslim ones.

Fuck off with your negative nastiness. Yes, a lot of women are forced to cover themselves. Yes, it’s fucking awful, and that definitely needs to be stopped. Women need to be educated that covering themselves is a personal choice, and they don’t have to do it if they don’t want to. It’s something that has to change in a lot of law systems too. This kind of thing doesn’t magically happen overnight!

And yes, these women may have had male chaperones, but just the fact that they’re competing on their terms is so fantastic. Things are changing, and it’s not perfect yet but you can’t even be happy with what they’ve achieved now, which is really sad.

And guess what, SOME WOMEN COVER THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY WANT TO.

Oh, also, ALL women are badasses, thankyouverymuch.
