introducing the artist Maimouna Guerresi. Though this artist does interact very much with the ideas of identity art (which I have grown against), there are many aspects of her point of view and creative vision that manifest bridges to an otherworldly conscious of north africa: what we see and do not. The simplicity of the colors by themselves speak volumes of the invitation to emptiness which is actual comfort and hostility at the same time.
